Executive Director About Jacque Schmidt, Executive Director Jacque Schmidt came on board as Rogue Valley Chorale's Executive Director in the spring of 2011. She has been a long time friend of the Chorale as both a singer (soprano) and board member. She has been instrumental in the development of our Youth Choruses program. She served as the organization's Administrative Assistant prior to accepting her current position as Executive Director. Jacque has been a strong advocate for children's choral singing for many years. As a mother of five she clearly understands the imporance of bringing music into the lives of young people. She has worked with Rogue Valley Youth Choruses as a Rehearsal Assistant and Support Director since 2006 and has played an integral role in assuring successful musical and social experiences for our young singers. Jacque served as the liaison between Rogue Valley Chorale's Board of Directors and Rogue Valley Youth Choruses Steering Committee, facilitating effective communication and program implementation. Jacque's dedication to youth extends beyond the Chorale to her involvement with the LDS Church. She served as a Stake Counselor in Primary Presidency. She is one of three women who preside, support and oversee ward primary programs for children ages 3-12. Originally from Van Nuys, California, Jacque moved to Southern Oregon in 1982. She is married to Shane Schmidt and has five children ranging in age from four to fifteen years old.
