CHANGES IN PROCEDURES FOR SINGERS

The Board of Directors recently re-organized several of the committees that manage the smooth operating of the Chorale. Please take note of the following information, particularly who to contact for specific issues, some of which has changed. Should you have questions please contact Jeannie Saint Germain or Eric Smith.

Music: For help with learning music or for questions about the music, please see your Section Leader. Contact the Librarian (Alice Nykreim) if you need music or have a defective copy.

Seating: For individual seating problems at rehearsal or performances, see your Section Leader. To avoid confusion we ask that you clear any seating changes with your section leader. The Sexton (Alice Nykreim) establishes the seating configuration and section boundaries based on the available chair space at the Craterian and the number of singers in each section.

Website: The Website is your principal source for information and updates. Please check the Member Site weekly, especially on rehearsal and performance days. We will not be sending out regular emails as reminders or notices unless Section Leaders determine that it is important to do so. Those without Internet access, please inform your Section Leader so he/she can suggest an "internet buddy." It is your job to stay in touch with your buddy. Contact Laura Rich, Webmaster, if you have any questions about the Member Site.

Absences: Report any anticipated absences (including taking a leave of absence) to your Section Leader. Contact information for section leaders is on the Roster or the Singer Information leaflet. If you are ill and must miss a rehearsal unexpectedly, please contact your section leader. If you cannot reach your section leader, please contact Eric Smith.

Contact Information: Report changes to your contact information to the Rehearsal Assistant, Jeanie Saint Germain. Once Jeanie receives your changes she will forward the information to the appropriate people so that all records can be updated.

We are still collecting pictures to post, but you can view what is currently up and running by clicking here. Check back often as more images will be uploaded as they are sent to me (Laura Rich).

AUDITIONS

Membership in the Rogue Valley Chorale is by audition only and at the discretion of the Chorale Audition Committee.  Participation in small groups or solo performances is at the discretion of the Conductor, and may or may not require a special audition.  Soloists are often chosen from chorus members, but the Conductor has the authority to retain outside soloists at his discretion.

The Chorale strives for the highest possible quality of musical performance.  Therefore, we may re-audition our singers at regular intervals.  Re-auditions may be required of singers returning from lengthy absences.  We will notify all members and supply details well in advance of this process.

SECTION LEADERS
The section leader is responsible for keeping attendance records and is the person to notify if you must miss a rehearsal or need a leave of absence.  Section leaders serve on the audition committee and will determine when singers need help learning their music.
