The Youth Ensemble was formed to:

• serve as a bridge between the younger choruses of RVYC and the community adult group(the Rogue Valley Chorale)
• to facilitate extra-curricular singing experiences for advanced high school singers with changed voices
• to perform high quality SATB literature appropriate for high school aged students in grades 10-12.

Pam Nordquist (pamarella@charter.net 535-1504) is the founding director of the Rogue Valley Youth Ensemble(2002) and also conducts the Cantare Chorus. Mrs. Nordquist is employed by Medford Schools as half-time choir director at South High School. She is an active guest clinician/conductor for middle school and high school choirs, and is currently serving a term on the state board of the American Choral Directors Association as membership chair.

Accompanist for the Youth Ensemble is Pat Daly.

Rehearsal assistants for the Youth Ensemble sing with the group during rehearsal and performance to provide models for the developing tenors and baritones in the group. The rehearsal assistants are Daniel Rodriguez and Pete Nordquist.
