Christmas
With The Chorale

 
 
December 13 & 14

The Chorale is excited to welcome back the SOU Brass Quintet for our holiday concert. Together we will perform Daniel Pinkham's Christmas Cantata and Eric Robertson's Fanfares and Carols. The Chorale will also perform Poulenc's Motets for the Christmas Season and, of course, traditional holiday carols sure to fill you with holiday cheer.

Concert Dedication:

MarAbel Frohnmayer, the first president of the Chorale's Board of Directors, died Sunday, October 11. The Chorale dedicates this concert to her in grateful memory of her service and dedication to the Chorale and to music and the arts in our valley.

In recognition of Black History Month, the Chorale will perform a concert of spirituals and music by Black American composers.
 
From contemporary arrangements to Art songs, this promises to be a spirited concert.

Just as our country is a great melting pot of people from all over the world, our music represents many traditions and a great variety of styles.

From the Song of the Open Road to Johnny has Gone for a Soldier, our country is shown in song.
